Armstrong.In order to do so, the town is prepared to offer monetary incentives to anyone willing to open up a storefront in downtown Shawville.\"We can give an incentive in the way of monies,\" Armstrong says.One reason he gives for the disintegration of the downtown core is a lack of support for the Shawville and District Chamber of Commerce.\"The Chamber of Commerce hasn\u2019t been a real success,\" he admits.A revitalization program was started in the late 1990s with the aim of generating more interest in the downtown core.Businesses were given suggestions about how to paint their
