and offices with $9,300, this amount to be used for labor and the municipality to borrow the money needed for materials.From the office of Tom Lefebvre in Ottawa the announcement of several more LIP grants has been received.At Quyon the Pontiac Agricultural Society Division C will receive $18,300 to provide five or six jobs improving the fair grounds.Specifics include levelling the ground around the horse barns and the race track, clearing the brush and repairing the various barns, providing outdoor lavatories the grounds, improving the main display building and the food booths and certain maintainance for the fastball diamond.m î I i J and County-wide housing on 1 A Better Housing project which hopes to extend from Quyon to Rapides des Joachims has received $28,890 which will create seven jobs for people who are to put up storm windows, install toilets, repair roofs and stairways, paint up and generally fix up the homes within this county which in disrepair and whose owners are 13th.ol the* leading Breeders in the County.Special Guest Speaker Mrs Pheobe McCord climaxed the banquet portion of the evening, with a very thought provoking and inspiring compliment to the worlds distributed among the exhibitors.Ken Kilgour chaired the presentation of production Awards, with Top Herd, 2 year old, 4 year old, and Mature Cow going to the Elmside View herd of George Pirie and Son with Top 3 year old going to Kennedy McBane & Son and the 2nd High Herd to J.Donald Duff & Son.Dalton Hod gins chaired the presentations of Star Brood Cow and Long Time Production Awards recognizing many Mr Paré will be 90 years of age on February 3rd and Mrs Paré, the former Elizabeth Stewart will be 86 next April 20th.Both were born on Calumet Island.They have resided in Davidson for 66 years.Mr and Mrs Paré had seven children ( one son was killed in action in Holland during the Second World War), 24 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.Mr Paré claims Minor Hockey Association from the Village of Campbell's Bay the Municipal Council will donate the sum of ten dollars for each child.Bill for last winter to be paid upon receipt of invoice.Meeting was also attended by Fire Chief Athol Smith and Fireman Joseph McGahern.A discussion was held re radio FM communication system for Fire Department.It was moved by Senior and Belanger that Council buy six complete outfits for firemen plus two extra pairs of boots.The application of Mr.James Lloyd for the position of part time policeman was read and on motion of Senior and Belanger the hills as
