introduced a petition, signed by an undetermined number of citizens, containing a number of charges against Mayor Sutterlin and demanding his immediate resignation.After being questioned by Mayor Sutterlin, Mr.Berry said that he had not drawn up the petition but named Mr.Sarto Blais as the person who had.Mr.Blais, who was present in the jammed packed hall, admitted that he had drawn \u2018up the document.Mr.Sutterlin asked those present at the meeting if they were in favor of the petition and the majority indicated that they were not.Mr.Sutterlin then stated that he would hand the matter to continue the newspaper debate\u2019 with Mr.Sarto Blais.Back from a short vacation the mayor stated that \u2018for a reasonable man to debate with this gentleman is an exercise in futility.\u201d\u201d Mayor Sutterlin went on to state that \u2018\u2018information and figures are available to any interested citizen at the Town Hall at all times\u2019 and that any statement he and before we knew what had happened Chateauguay was leading three to nothing.Then Valleyfleld came to bat and a very fine short stop named An: dre Deschamps belted one about 250 ft.over the fence, this was a sight to see, Chateauguay made a few errors which were costly and the inning ended with Valleyfleld leading 7 to 3.In the second inning only one run was scored by Valleyfleld this made the score 8 to 3.The third inning was quick there was no scoring.We might add that there was some fine plays by both teams.The fourth Inning brought some real exitement for Chateau- guay fans as Valleyfleld replaced there pitcher Faubert for McSween and all of a sudden Chateau- guay banged in five runs to tle the score at 8 to 8.In the fifth inning Val- leyfleld came back to sco: re three more runs to take the lead again 11 to 8 in that same inning Andre Deschamps belted another homerun this one about 210 ft.Two more runs were scored to make the score 13 to 8.In the 6th and final inning Chateauguay came to bat with thelr last chance and they tried hard, With two runnerson base young Cushing hit one up against the fence to score bothrunners this made the score 13 to 10.The next three batters were put out and the game was over.Valleyfield won the right to go to Greenfleld Park for the second game in the tournament.The outstanding work done by the Valley- field team can be credited to Marcel Carpenter, manager and Jean Louls Bray, coach, Our best wishes to Dr, Lalonde and his very fine organization and we hope that they may represent Canada in the Little World Series, I might add that I was very proud of Chateauguay for the wonderful job that the fine lads have done and to Ted Whatling manager Chateauguays\u2019 Little League Baseball team which played an excellent game against Valleyfisld, one of the Strongest teams in the League, on Monday of this week, at Valleyfield.While Chateauguay lost 13-10 they put up a tremendous fight and are fast becoming a team
