True to his cutting-edge style, Cutler thumbs his nose at contemporary taboos and plunges boldly ahead through the treacherous waters of stalking and harassment, putting his own irreverent spin on an otherwise serious issue. The viewer understands he means no harm — but the girl doesn't.Though Cutler titled his video ‘Life Before Stalkers, it could very well have been called ‘How I Met My Girlfriend" Yes, believe it or not.this outrageously unorthodox pickup technique may have actually worked, for Cutler 1s now dating Evelyne Soulard, the unwitting subject of his risky video experiment.Reaction to the video has been largely incredulous; the two must have staged the whole thing. It had to be staged, you think — until you see the actual video.Soulard is not an actor, and she is genuinely creeped out, big time! Is ‘Life Before Stalkers’ a scripted performance piece, complete with the inevitable Citizen Kane shot as they pass those facing mirrors in the pedestrian tunnel, or an honest example of quirky cinema-verité, Keir Cutler style? You be the judge. The video is posted on the Just For Laughs website at: http://www.justepourrire.com/videos/show/ 9014-life-before-stalkers?Send us your letters The Examiner welcomes letters from readers on issues of local interest.Letters should be sent to larsenw@transcontinental.cdf) (preferable), by fax to 514-484-6028 or by mail to Letters to the Editor, The Westmount Examiner, 345 Victoria Ave.suite 508, Westmount, Qc.H3Z 2N2, Only letters bearing the writer’ full name, address, and a daytime contact phone number will be considered for publication.Hand-written letters will not be accepted.Letters may be edited for length and/or clarity.Imprimeries Transcontinental 2003 inc Distribution: Transcontinental Media Inc.Published by: Transcontinental Media G.P.ranscontinental | Westmount Publisher: Denis Therrien News decor Marc Lalonde Regional Manager: Printed by: Bureau chief: Florence Reinson outs Mercier INE Nop p " no acordé Editor: Wayne Larsen Production Director: oo Transmas WAVES xaminer.u dvertising 2 | < ! rue Mirabeau WAVVW.W estnountex aminer.com Harvey Aisenthal, Valérie Petit, Arleen Candiott conne a Robert Bourcier Ville d'Anjou.Qc HU 117 345 Victoria, suite 508, Westmount (Qc) H3Z 2N2 ; ; ; butors: Graphic Design: .Commercial classified ad sales ntative: gn: Tel: 54 san Je 514 484-6028 Guylène Lacasse represe Ss or ay oe Innograf West island Publi-Sac Montréal, 337-6920 Cl s: 1-866-637-5236 ; : ' wwwiwestmounterminer.com Digital sales representative: Justine Cotton Bram Eisenthal, Ferg Gadzala, Jessica Murphy, ) Natalie Larivie Sales Assistant: Odette Galego Noah Sidel.Matthew Surridge.Marilynn & President : ata le arivière + “re, ocNA v R N.Wilkins, Ted Wright >, Please recyle this newspaper www.transcontinentalmedia.com ä CERTIFIED DISTRIBUTION : 9,819 COPIES 2 nn yy Publishers ability for bili pin Pall not ® be la for slight changes of ron that do rot lessen the value of an advertisement The publishers liability for other errors or omissions in nection advert; advertisement 1 und of any mon naam USISEINES .,, A J RQ editorial content."pt or in whole.in an official or unoffical manner.is prohibited without a As permission from the publisher es pad or the advertisement.Any reproduction of advertisements ATI Lr Lami. flat.It is all ready to go and it’s in a prime, prime location as far as prestige goes.” Welcome to Wallpaper 101 Second of a three-part series on the effective use of wallpaper assume that one (double roll) would do the job.Well, think again! If your paper has no pattern on it, your wall is absolutely perfect, as is each cut you make (try and use a newly snapped blade when making each single cut) and the glue you use is pertect for the job, then maybe this can be achieved. But ! have yet to experience the perfect case scenario.Papers with no repeat are those offering the same pattern or print running along the paper without any stop to the sequence, this is the case of solid coloured papers or those printed or dragged with vertical stripes, in this case calculating how many rolls are necessary is a bit easier but, once again, you should use the services of an expert wallpaper hanger.Hiring one is an expense that can save you a lot of money! Continued on page 27 ad = v7 B= REAL ESTATE Continued from WALLPAPER, page 26 Printed papers are trickier. The repeat must be considered, calculated and tested to see if it fits the project.Printed papers are great to use, if you run short, you can most probably get more printed in identical colors.Hand-blocked, hand-painted or hand dragged papers on the other hand can never offer, with certainty the reproduction of the exact colors. So if you chose to work with one of these categories, make sure to buy enough and hire a professional wallpaper hanger who can do the calculation as to how much you need.1 have worked with wallpaper and the best trade professionals for installation, for many years now and have learned a great deal from their expertise. When choosing a paper | always consider the quality of the actual paper (keep in mind that price and quality are not always related), beauty of the design, durability, maintenance, cost, dimensions and appropriate glue.In most cases heavy paste acid free glue is what | chose for my projects. As rule of thumb, acid-free glue is a good choice to make when buying the materials necessary to install wallpaper.Keep this in mind, not all wallpapers are pre-pasted.This is a process usually related only to North American-made papers.Pre-pasted papers could yellow with time; this is because the glue used in the manufacturing process is plastic based and reacts in a negative way when exposed to direct natural light.I like to use Shurstick 111 heavy paste glue, always with great results.Others have had success using Stik-Tite WP-201, Muralo Adhesium, Golden Harvest #14 and Wall Tite 300.If you are using an unfamiliar product, or product combination, it may be a good idea to test it first. My clients who have used wallpaper can tell you how gorgeous and spectacular the final results always are! * Look for part three of Wallpaper 101 in next month’s Real Estate section.Eros Greatti is Canada’s Top Interior Designer® 2006 and 2007.For more information or to suggest topics, he can be reached at 514-272-3767.ANDY DODGE & ASSOC.INC.Real estate consultants & appraisers C.P.357, Succ.Victoriq, Westmount H3Z 2V8 Tel: 482-8560 Fax: 482-8621 www.andydodgeassociates.com 2214957 Westmount.4302 Montrose.$2,988,000 Westmount.449 Claremont $1,275,000 ca Ta I - iA x=.i.2° Downtown.6 Chelsea Place.GROUPE SUTTON CENTRE-OUEST-#} JULIA DANIELS 514 935-4524 wy, $8,000/mo.Fée May the warmth, joy and light of the Holidays À : æ 0 fill your home this season.una Dax À ” Westmount.50 Bruce.$525,000 2708965 $479,000 i CIWS EP NET PCE rn mers Let me take this opportunity to thank all my clients, friends and family for making 2008 a special year!
