the time and date and also to find out if they intend to return to the League this year.Of the 45 people contacted to date, 42 have said that they will be there.People from all over Cha- teauguay have called the President asking if they could join Just Add People .or How To Start A Cooperative Pre-School There were some disappointed people on registration day for the Seigniory Park Co-operative Pre-school, and the executive of the school was sorely disappointed for them. The problem of transportation proved to be an insurmountable obstacle in a number of cases. And, indeed, transporting very young children over an inordinate distance to attend nursery school defeats at least part of the value to be obtained from the experience, both for the children and their parents.Since the need for at least une other co-operative preschool in Chateauguay has been demonstrated, the obvious thing is for these interested people to get together and start one.If fifteen people can be brought together for a first meeting, this is a reasonably Mr.and Mrs.Ernest Koenig (centre) receive presentation of silver tea service the League. As the Parkview Bowling League accepts all comers a full compliment of 12 teams, with plenty of spares, is assured. In case any of last season's bowlers have not yet been called they are requested to call Stan Atkinson at 691- 2582, ’ If you are a new resident of Chateauguay and are interested in bowling, the Park- view Bowling League would be happy to have you join them for an evening's fun.À call to the above number is sure to make a long winter seem much enthusiastic supporters, and willing workers too.If you would like to be put in touch with interested people in Chateauguay, call Mrs.Elaine Robitaille, Registrar of the Seigniory Park Co-op, 382 Montmorency.Don't make your people feel that their initial interest and support bind them to a fixed commitment, because there must be general agreement on the kind of school experience wanted for the children, Be flexible in your thinking, A co-op school could be ready for business perhaps only after Christmas, even though you make your start now.If PRESENTATION OF TEA SERVICE Vol.6, No.25 never have been written, but because of the old Tom coming across a rabbit hole and disturbing the occupants and happy al the prospect at the tasty meal they would make, the story has come about, And the heroine of our story is a young Brownie named Rohin Moody of Ethier Street. On Friday afternoon, she and her sister Debbie along with a number of other children were sitting on théir front lawn watching the old Tom and for a moment he disappeared and moments later he emerged with something in his mouth and Robin looked at him and screamed for help for hanging from his mouth was a tiny rabbit perhaps only a couple of weeks old.Her father came to the rabbit's rescue and old Tom naturally resented the fact of being deprived of a tasty meal, Robin made the wee creature comfortable in a shoe box and had no sooner got him nicely tucked in when lo and behold more screeching, Tom had another rabbit. However before this one could be rescued the cat managed to sink his teeth into the rabbit's leg but Mr.Moody rescued the little creature just in time. After that it seemed the children emerged from everywhere and watched to sce where Tom was heading so that they might find the nest.Sure enough they found it in the neighbour's flower bed and Mr.Moody found the remainder of the brood, two more scared little rabbits, so they too took refuge in the shoe box.Robin, who loves animals dearly, by this time was so filled with emotion, for she feared the one who had the hurt leg would die and she pleaded with her Dad to let vice is readily available. The manual published by the Council is an invaluable guide.Any assistance that the Seigniory Park Co-op can give .e.g., information about available building space, possible teachers, how to get c- quipment.it will give.In fact, anything the school can do for a fledgling group.it will do.As you are well aware, such missionary zeal is born only of true faith.Good pre-school education pays dividends for the whole family.but even more in In front of Ogilvy's marching back and forth in! time to the tune was a piper, in the Ogilvy tartan — but — the pipes and the plaid over: the piper's shoulder was the Air Force tartan. After the Scottish music, we had a little chat with the piper — and discovered that he is a resi- ent of Chateauguay.Small world — Allan Swan (the piper) lives in Seigniory Park, on Montmorency, and he told us that he oft has a call to play for Ogilvy's, Allan is in the Air Force Reserve hence the R.A.F.tartan.The personnel that we spoke with were all most helpful, and pleasant.spoke English and made every effort to he helpful.Something 1 didn't like at all at Fairview was the cold drafty air-conditioning.Stopping in one of the Coffee Shops for a snack, we moved to three different seats, and vet the cold wind whistled down the back of our necks. It really was very c-o-l-d and it chased me away from one of the shops; it was much too uncomfortable to browse. In the Mall there are lots of benches, tanks of tropical fish, tropical trees and plants and an EXPO 67 display, and cold drafts. It was very interesting three quarters of a day, but I still like our own shopping areas here in Cha- teauguay.Well, that will be it for fhis week.In the next issue am planning an “Exposé” of a lady's handbag. You see it will soon be September and ladies don’t usually use white handbags after the first of Sept.so there will be the ‘great changeover’ and this should either make arm better, depending on the number of objects discarded during the process of changing purses, or the sore arm) sorer, RIVETS Dear Ann Landers: My 7-husband’s fault because he's a sore + ois Tea When I offered my sympathy wer like that ?— B.S.R.she said, “I don't believe she, Dear B.S.R.: Some people suffered. She seemed comfor-|find it difficult and/or depress.table and cheerful to the end.”|ing to discuss death or any- Ann La nders eon It was the same as calling me|thing connected with it.This .a liar. Why would a person dois unrealistic, but understan- this?— INSULTED dable.Dear Insulted: It is perfeet-| A man of 70 who answers a Answers your ly human to reject the notion|you like that is not going to f that.those we love are in a-| thange, Its uniortunate tha.ro es problems gony.We prefer to believe that|you must be denied the peace — drugs are protecting a dear onejof mind tnat comes with know.from the pain that often ac.|ing the facts, but unless your 31 companies a lingering illness.|lawyer can persuade your hus.Ch: , Real friends offer comfort,}band to be more realistic, 1'd .over home and I can't manage! not hurtful speculation. The advise you to stay off the sub- cnne erome alone.Help me before! person who says, “It's too bad |ject.COMFT ee up: — MISERABLE.she had to suffer so much” HART p: contributes nothing useful. What is French kissing? Is Dear Miserable: You spcak|Such comments contain a tinge|it wrong?Who should set the Geordie of the difficult birth and thelof sadism disguised as sym.necking limits — the boy or colic and allergies as if youlpathy, the girl? Can a shotgun wed- or were the victim of a conspiracy ding succeed?Read Ann Lan- nm plotted by Jerome himself.ders’ booklet, “Tecn-age-Sex — Your resentment toward the| Deer Ann Landors: oy ror Ten Ways to Cool 1 send 50 child may account for his re-|blem resulted from a letter in) Cats in coin and a long, self iousness your column. You said a wife » se belliousness and yes, perhaps hould hav y knowledge |âddressed, stamped envelope.even his illnesses.“Problem |$20Ÿ husb deh ; = Ann Landers will be glad to children” are children with a of, her po an re ould L k help you with your problems.problem.fairs — 0 at his hie his ph Send them to her in care of You need professional help dm à op ° ’ this newspaper enclosing a and you need it at once.In SUMNCE ABZ SO.OF ; old |stamped, seli-addressed cnve- fact, now you need two specia- why husband is 70 him your lope.for Jerome.yourself and one) 1 mn and asked if his affairs| 1265, Publishers Neurspapct 2n ‘ were in order he blew his top yndicate lez land shouted.“My will is my —"- ces G Dear Ann Landers: Why personal property.I have never { lo] would a person look you disclosed its contents to any ns straight in the eyc and deny of my beneficiaries. You get that a member of her family a better break than the law suffered excruciating pain for!allows.” a long time before her death?!
