0 \"clock.Engineer Perfermeni has been for some years in the employ of the company.Fireman Hyatt\u2019s escape from the fate of the engineer, was very fortunate.His home is at Huntingville.He is a voung man, unmarried.His father was illed some two years ago in building operations near Huntingville.The wrecked engine and cars, it .appears, was intended.for a pilgrimage to Ste.Anne and was backing up to the point on the Tring-Megantic line from which the pilgrimage was to start.The cars being empty the engi- - neer and fireman were the only persons endangered by the wreck.ENGINEER CAUGHT IN WRECK., Engineer H.Parfrement was conscious till near the end.He talked quite rationally with his fellow employees after the accident.After the engine went down it turned turtle and Parfrement was caught by one foot in the plates.The stop cocks were knocked off.with the result that steam and hot water poured down on the unfortunate engineer.As he was unable to clear his foot he had the presence of mind to umdo the laces of his hoot and thus free his foot.After doing $0 he cleared himself of the engine.It was not supposed at first that he was so seriously scalded owing to the fact that he was able to move around, and it js now supposed that he had not reached that stave of sensibility to feel the pain.His body was in n terrible state.From the hreast down to the feet the flesh and skin was hanging in strips.® Was popular with\u201d his fellow em: playees who regret his unfortunate death, THE INQUEST, The i a fiji into the.death of Engi- scalded.Fireman ;
