l\u2019on commence même à en perdre le souvenir ; et sans l\u2019ouvrage en question, tous les records et les réminiscences de l\u2019ancien Québec et de ses lucalités, depuis près d'un siècle, disparaitront sous peu d\u2019années sans qu'il soit possible de se les rappeler.Sous l'impression que l\u2019entreprise rencontrera l\u2019approbation publique, le soussigné s\u2019est décidé à publier le présent prospectus.Le caractère historique et antiquaire de l\u2019ouvrage sera aisément reconnu, si l\u2019on examine la court.description suivante du sujet de chaque vue.No.1.\u2014 Une vue générale de Québec de la Pointe I.évi.Sur le terrein en avant, l\u2019on voit des troupes s\u2019embarquer et traverser la rivière dans des bateaux de la fiotte.Une ligne de vaisseaux de guerre à l'ancre.La ville présente le coup d\u2019œil ordinaire, mais la vue est remarquable, en ce qu\u2019elle présente l\u2019accroissement de la Basse-Ville depuis 1759.\u2014 Où passe maintenant larue St.l\u2019aul, l\u2019on ne voit que quelques maisons au détuur de la pointe du Sault-au-iva- telut, près du roc.L'amas des maisons dont le coin était la présente Banque de Montréal, se fait aussi appercevoir.En bas de la maison de l\u2019hon.J.Hale, est un bâtiment du commerce, sur les chantiers, à lagrève, L'on distingue facilement le quai de la Reine et la place de débarquement de la Basse- Ville.No.11.\u2014 Partie Nord-Ouest de la Ville de Québec.Ceciest une vue, de la rivière St.Charles, prise au dessus du Parc du Roi.L'on y apperçoit l arrière du Palais de l\u2019Intendant, ainsi que les ramparts, tels qu\u2019ils étaient alors.Laligne est maintenant à peu près la même, montant de la petite rivière au cap, en traversant l\u2019Eesplanade.L'on distingue les casernes de l'artillerie, ainsi que les magasins.L\u2019on y peut remarquer la Canoterie, avec un édifice qui existe encore dans la rue SL.Charles, et dernièrement em - ployé comme brasserie.No.111.Le Palais de I\u2019 Intendant.C\u2019est une vue trég intéressante dela celébre résidence des Intendants de Québec, C\u2019est un superbe édifice, qui est en face du mur, avec une cour et des ailes, écuries, &c.L'on voit les jardins vers l\u2019Hôpital Général, bordés d\u2019arbres à l\u2019ouest.Le contraste entre cette perspective et la présente apparence du lieu, est très frappant.No.IV.La Trésorerie et le Collège des Jésuites.Ceci donne une perspective de la cathéd rale française\u2014 du côté du Collège des Jésuites, (maintenant converti en casernes)\u2014et du site de la maison de Mr, Delagrave, rue la Fabrique, et est une vue intéressante.La rue lu Fabrique n\u2019est pas continuée plus bas que la maison de Mr.Massue.No.V.Le Collège et l\u2019Fglise des Jésuites.C\u2019est un précieux reste de l\u2019untiquité, donnant le front du | Collège des Jésuites, à peu près comme il parait maintenant ; avec le dehors de l\u2019ancienne et célèbre église des Jésuites, la première bâtie à Québec, et dans la quelle CHamPLaIN a été inhumé.Elle était bâtie sur le terrein appelé le marché au foin, et joignait presque le Collège, près de l'entrée de la biblio thèque de la garnison.No.VI.L'intérieur de l\u2019Eglise des Jésntes.C\u2019est aussi une vue précieuse, en ce qu\u2019elle montre la beauté de l'intérieur de cette Eglise qui n\u2019existe plus, et les dommages que lui ont causés les bombes lancées de la Puinte Lévi No.VII.La Cuthédrule, le Collège des Jésuites et I\u2019 Eglise des Frères Récollets.Celle-ci donne une curieuse perspective de la Place d\u2019 Armes.En front, parait la vieille église des Récollets, sur le site de la présente Cour de Justice et de l'Eglise Anglicanne.Un détachement de grenadiers parade dans le centre\u2014et des officiers montagnards conversent ensemble.Le vieil arbre, au coin de la rue du Trésor, se fait remarquer, ainsi que la maison de Mr.Roi et celle de Mr.Fortier, presque comme à présent.No.VIII.L'intérieur de l\u2019 Eglise des Frères Récollets.C\u2019est encore un morceau intéressant ;
