[" tee, RE ST ENG RURU ES pe an Tet ne Pace a de D El QTR Drama CES AE , 4 A Q VoL.I.Publishen by Authoritp.NUARY 8, 2 GAZETTE Mo: QUEBEC.me PRY A EES \u201cProvince of His Excellency GEORGE EARL Lower Canada, $ OF DALHOUSIE.Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honorable Military Order of the Bath, Captain General, and Governor in Chief inaud over the Province of Lower-Canada, Vice- A«dmiral of the same, &c.&c.&c.A PROCLAMATION.HEREAS in and by an Act of the Provincial V Puiliament of Lower-Canada, made and passed in the last Session théreof, in the present Year of His Majesiy\u2019s Reign, iniituled, \u2018* An Act for the Es- s* (ablishment of Fairs in this Province ;* it is amongst other things enacted that during the continuance of the said Act, (here may be held at anyitime during the months of March and September, of each and every Year in the several Di-tricis of this Proviuce, at such places and on such days as the Governor, Lientenant Governor or Person Administering the Government of this Province for the time being by a Proclamation, may appoint for the purpose, a Fair or Fairs under such Rulesand Re- ulations as the Justices of he Peace for the several Districts.in their Courts of General Sessions of the Peace, may thereunio specially provide; and that such Proclamation shall appoint the place and time of holding such Fair or Fairs, and that the same shall bear date and be issved atleast two months immediately preceding the time appointed for such Fair or Fairs.Now therefore know ye thar, conformable to the said Act, I bave thought fil to issue this Proclamation, hereby auiho- sizing the holding of a Fair at the village of Terrebonne, in the District of Montreal, once in every year, that is te suy, on the third Tuesduy in the monib of Seprem- ber, during the continuance of the said Act.Given under my hand and Sealat Arms, at ile Castle of saint Lewis, in the City of Quebec, in the said Proviuce, the tenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-three, and in the fourth year of His Majesty's Reign.DALHOUSIE, (Governor.By His Excellency\u2019s command, Ls MoOATIZAMBERT, Actg.Provi.Seely.DALHOUSIE, Governor.George the Fourth by ihe Grace of Gud, of the Uniwed Kingdom of Greai.: Britain and Lreland, King, Delender of the Faith, , To all to whom these presents shall come or may In any wWise concern, GREETING : : A PROCLAMATION.V HEREAS by Letters Patent under the great seal of our said Province of Lower-Canuda, bearing date at our Casile of St, Lewis, in our City of Quebec, the third day of July, iu the third year of our reign, we did assign, constitute and appoint Samuel Neilson, Gentleman, to be our Printer within our Proviuce of Lower- Canada, for and during our pleasure, under and by virtue of which said Leiteys Patent, sioce the dare thercot the said Samuel Neitsou has printed and published the Quebec Gazetie-And whereas by Leters Patent also un» der the great seal of our said Province, bearing date at \u201ceur Castle of St.Lewis, in our said City of Quebec, the twenty-second diy of (bis present monih of October, we bave declared the above mendoned Leders Patent to be null and void and of no effect, and have assigned, constituted and appointed Joun CHARLTON FisHER, Province of Lewer-Canadan { Esquire, Doctor ot Laws, to be our Printer within our said Province, in the room and stead of tbe said Samuel Neil- con, with fall power and authority all and every the rights aud duties belonging to the said oftice of Printer to exercise and perform -
