Titre :
The Quebec chronicle
La ligne éditoriale du journal est définie comme suit : « [.] in the management of The Morning Chronicle we shall, therefore, begin by simply declaring, that, as we glory in our connexion with the British Empire, it will be our undeviating aim and unremitting endeavour, to create and foster a cordial attachment to those time-honoured institutions which have made her so illustrious in the annals of the world ». (May 18, 1847, p. 2)

[Traduction]
Voici les différents titres que le Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph a connus depuis ses débuts : Disponibles en ligne : The Morning Chronicle (Jan. 1847 - Nov. 1850) The Morning Chronicle and Commercial and Shipping, 1850-1888 The Morning Chronicle (Feb. 1888 - May 1888) The Quebec Morning Chronicle, 1888-1898 The Quebec Chronicle, 1898-1924 Non disponible en ligne : The Chronicle Telegraph (1925-1934) The Québec Chronicle-Telegraph (1934 à ce jour)

the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire, [I know you have all worked hard, imbued with the patriotic desire to be of assistance, and have made your own sacrifices both as to time and money.Yours is the spirit now pervading the whole Empire, a spirit which will face the most arduous of tasks, and admit of no defeat. The all important task now uppermost in our minds, is the winning of the war, for which end we must all work in unison, combining our strength, redoubling our efforts, working for the good of Canada and the whole Empire, and when victory has been won, we must be in a position to reconstruct and rehabilitate our country, so that the treasure in food and money, and the sacrifices that have been made will not have been made in vain. The heart of thés great Empire must beat with one accord, and I ask you all present, insofar as it lies in your power, to see that It does.In Britain, in France, and in the other Allied countries, they are cone centrating all their be examples to all of what is expect.sd of us.Let us see that everyone, man, woman and child, is not only willing, but anxious to do his duty to his country and his King.Let us show the whole world the lines: \u201cBe Briton still to Briton true Among ourselves united, For never but by British hands, Must British wrongs be righted\u201d And when these wrongs have been righted, let us hope that
