Titre :
The Quebec chronicle
La ligne éditoriale du journal est définie comme suit : « [.] in the management of The Morning Chronicle we shall, therefore, begin by simply declaring, that, as we glory in our connexion with the British Empire, it will be our undeviating aim and unremitting endeavour, to create and foster a cordial attachment to those time-honoured institutions which have made her so illustrious in the annals of the world ». (May 18, 1847, p. 2)

[Traduction]
Voici les différents titres que le Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph a connus depuis ses débuts : Disponibles en ligne : The Morning Chronicle (Jan. 1847 - Nov. 1850) The Morning Chronicle and Commercial and Shipping, 1850-1888 The Morning Chronicle (Feb. 1888 - May 1888) The Quebec Morning Chronicle, 1888-1898 The Quebec Chronicle, 1898-1924 Non disponible en ligne : The Chronicle Telegraph (1925-1934) The Québec Chronicle-Telegraph (1934 à ce jour)

Quebec Pageant. His artistic con- i ception and design, his insight into history and his tireless energy make ‘him unique. At his right hand is Mr.Dennis, his clever an engaging secretary, who has made many friends and no enemies during his stay in Quebec.Mr.Lascelles is algo assisted ‘by his stage manager, Mr.William Parry.who has been for many years a director of the Metropolitan j Opera Company of New York. That Mr.Parry 18 used to handling large groups of players is evident from the efficient manner in which he carries out the instructions of Mr.Lascelles and his tact and courtesy invariably stand him in good stead, while he preserves an unusual presence of mind in situations that call for it.Ir, Parry has as assistant stage manage: Mr.J.McKinney of St.John's, and he, too, has a varied experience in such work. One of his chief successes was the staging of the “Jameson Raiders” in the “Files year at St | John.He has long been connected with roller rink enterprises and il is noticable that he is the only man from the maritime provinces on the staff.Another assistant stage manager is Mr.Carrel, who has also hag a long connection with the Metropol: itan Opera Company of New York where he has been director of costumes and filled several other import ant parts. He has also been con nected with Covent Garden, Drury Lane and other places in the Old Country. The roperties are In the hands of Mr.J.3 Carey, subject of conrse tc the direction of Mr.Lascelles.Mr Carey has garnered his wealth of ex perience over the border, and has earned a great reputation there In the construction of public parks and features of amusement.Mr.Carey had charge of all the properties in the “Fall of Babylon,” which scored such a hit at Coney Island. He the Laval Monument was waiting for tbe historical procession to get under way, which created a great deal of enthusiasm. It was a striking proof of the entente cordiale which at present exists between France and England, and as such it appealed with peculiar force to the descendants of the two nations, who composed in a large measure the multitude assembled.Through the middle of the crowd came a crowd of between twenty and thirty French and British sailors. Some were arm-in-arm, while some had their arms sbout seach other's necks. The French ssilors waved British flags end the British sailors all held aloft the tri-color of France. They cheered each other's flags, and seamed to be having the time of their lives.Their cheers brought a ready response from the crowds which thronged the streets, and there was quite & miniature demonstration of mutual good-will all round.Pageants to-dav, Plains of Abraham, at 5 p.m.july.24x2, FIND EXHIBITION OF TROUT.In onr windows yesterday we had a
