Titre :
The Quebec chronicle
La ligne éditoriale du journal est définie comme suit : « [.] in the management of The Morning Chronicle we shall, therefore, begin by simply declaring, that, as we glory in our connexion with the British Empire, it will be our undeviating aim and unremitting endeavour, to create and foster a cordial attachment to those time-honoured institutions which have made her so illustrious in the annals of the world ». (May 18, 1847, p. 2)

[Traduction]
Voici les différents titres que le Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph a connus depuis ses débuts : Disponibles en ligne : The Morning Chronicle (Jan. 1847 - Nov. 1850) The Morning Chronicle and Commercial and Shipping, 1850-1888 The Morning Chronicle (Feb. 1888 - May 1888) The Quebec Morning Chronicle, 1888-1898 The Quebec Chronicle, 1898-1924 Non disponible en ligne : The Chronicle Telegraph (1925-1934) The Québec Chronicle-Telegraph (1934 à ce jour)

edge of the kcen- est sorrow it is the Jot of man to experience.Easter bridges the chasm between the dead and the living, and overshadows all those differences of creed and of origin that at other times protrude themselves upon us.SOME OBVIOUS INDICATIONS OF THE IPROGIESS OF QUEBKC, That the outside world is beginning to realize that Quebec is a city with something nore than a past was shown by an interview with an inde peident glwerver published in these columns a few days ago.Visitors who arc passing through frdm time to of progress and improvement, and the signs pf business activity Umi are the infallible indications of the growing impo tance of his city.Nothing has been nore demonstrative of the increased business of Queber than the [fact that during the past winter the commercial hotels have been costantly crowded with guests.IL is not long, since hotel keeping in Qurbee con: sisted of handling a crowd during the tourist season, and a lang wait util it should come around and do not hesitate to der ahai more business is being done by them in Quebec than in St.John or Halifax, our only commercial rivals in the eastern part of Canada outside of Montreal. The reason for this is not difficult to find.Development and improvement are now the order of the day in Que ber.and in the great storehouse of forest wraith, more valuable than am wold region, behind was then in his thirteenth 3 began to complain of an aching his hips, and later my attention was directed to a peculiar shamide in lus gait.As the trouble gradually grew upon him 1 tock him to a physician in Dunville, who examined him and said the trouble arose from a weabness of the nerves of the hip. This doctor treated Perley for weeks, during which time a large abscess formed on lis leg, and he was obliged to get about on crutches. As he continued to decline, I resolved to try another dec tor who dingupsed the case as hip joint disease. He treated Perley for six months!
