Titre :
The Quebec chronicle
La ligne éditoriale du journal est définie comme suit : « [.] in the management of The Morning Chronicle we shall, therefore, begin by simply declaring, that, as we glory in our connexion with the British Empire, it will be our undeviating aim and unremitting endeavour, to create and foster a cordial attachment to those time-honoured institutions which have made her so illustrious in the annals of the world ». (May 18, 1847, p. 2)

[Traduction]
Voici les différents titres que le Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph a connus depuis ses débuts : Disponibles en ligne : The Morning Chronicle (Jan. 1847 - Nov. 1850) The Morning Chronicle and Commercial and Shipping, 1850-1888 The Morning Chronicle (Feb. 1888 - May 1888) The Quebec Morning Chronicle, 1888-1898 The Quebec Chronicle, 1898-1924 Non disponible en ligne : The Chronicle Telegraph (1925-1934) The Québec Chronicle-Telegraph (1934 à ce jour)

entered by Cornwall against the Cornwall-National match, but the protest!entered by the Nationals against the Capitals was maintained on a majority vote of the delegates, the representatives of the Nationals, Quebec and Toronto voting in favor of it.The question of maintaining the protest tumed on the point whether Referee Chittick, of Ottawa, had the right to rule Wells, one of the National players, off for the match.\u2018The Nationals claimed that he had no such right and that he could only rule a man off for the game.Mr, Chittick was present at the meeting and explained that when he ruled Wells off for fouling, Wells had assaulted him and used grosaly insulting language, on which he ruled him off for the remainder of the match.Mr.Chittick thought his action should be upheld by the League, as it was not fair that the referees should be subjected to such abuse. The National's representative pointed eut, however, that Mr.Chittick's action was against the rules.Mr.Dunn,
