SHERBROOKE VIA HISTORIC \u2019\u2018LONE PINE\u201d ROCK The prospect of having a new railroad run into Sherbrooke is causing considerable interest in this city.The Record learned from what is considered good authority that the contract for the building of the new road had already been signed, and that in all probability work would be started ear ly, in the spring.The contractor is said to be Baron Pichon, a French Capitalist.So far no part of the contract has been sublet.It is expected that the contractor will start work from the Sherbrooke end as soon ns weather permits.As already announced the railroad will cross the St.Francis River at Lone Pine Rock, From there the line will follow the west side of the river and run over the street next to Walter Blue & Company\u2019s building.The station will in all likelihood be built in that vicinity.106 MILES TO QUEBEC.Two surveys have already been made the shorter of which is only one hundred and six miles.The other is one hundred and sixteen miles, but touches almost every town of any Importance.It built it will be the shortest route from Sherbrooke to Quebec.The distances above mentioned are from Sherbrooke to Quebec,
