Fathers.(Associated Press Despatch) The special valuation roll of busi, ness and rental taxes- was adopted by the City Council at a special meeting last night, which was presided over by Pro-Mayor Tetrault in the absence of His Worship Mayor Brault.Before the adoption of this roll two complaints were heard and considered by the city fathers.One of these complaints came from Mr.Lucien Hebert, a store keeper of this city, who objected to the business tax of $800 which had been placed on his premises.He addressed the council and informed them that other larger stores than his and ones which had been in operation much longer were only taxed to the same extent as his store, and consequently he felt that his taxes were slightly too high.Following the consideration of the matter Aider-man Newton proposed and Aider-man Bourque seconded that the taxes already imposed on this store he maintained This motion was carried.A second complaint was heard from Mr.O.H.Bruneau, who claimed that his rental tax had been figured on a rent- of $17 per month, whereas he paid only $16, A change wms made in this connection and the taxes lowered on a motion by Aider-man Forest, seconded by Aldermai
