Edges Richmond3-l To Cop Pee Wee Title; Mosquitos Top Sherbrooke 3-2 To Earn Crown By MAURICE MALICK RICHMOND Ahuntsic Braves of Montreal copped the Provincial Pec Wee Hockey Championship edging the Richmond team 3-1 in a well-played and exciting game before some 300 fans.The locals earned the right to meet the Montreal champs by blanking Three Rivers 3-0 in the first game played in the day\u2019s activi-lies.A second game saw the local Mosquitos, E.T.Champs, win the Provincial Mosquito title by edging Sherbrooke 3-2.Coach Maurice Dagenals received the Quebec Minor Hockey Association Provincial Pee Wee Trophy from Minor convenor Maurice I\u2019arsons after his club beat the Richmond team.Dage-nais\u2019 young son paced his club to the championship by scoring I wo goals with Michel Mongeau notching the other.Billy Doyle scored for Richmond just after three minutes of play in the first fifteen-minute period.Doyle had scored all three Richmond goals in the shutout win over Three Rivers in the first tilt, giving him a total of four goals on the day.Ahuntsic was a more experienced team and had the better of the play through most of the game.The Richmond boys, however gave a very good account of themselves as this was their second game of the day.They had about an hour\u2019s rest before meeting the Braves for the title.Colin Tibbitts, in the Richmond nets, played a very sound game though he was beat for three goals.He turned away several attacks by the Ahuntsic team and was ably helped by his de- fense.Doyle opened the scoring on a play with his brother Michael and Michel Tanguay assisting at 3:15 to beat goalie Andre Vezina.Dagenals scored his first of two markers at 8:10 on a play with Mongeau.The period ended with a 1-1 tie.Two penalties were called by referees Morehouse and Allayson, one to Migneault for tripping at 1:50 and to Mongeau for highsticking at 11:35.These are both Ahuntsic boys.The second frame saw Dagenais count again to give the Montrealers a 2-1 lead at 9:40.Belair assisted on this play.Only one penalty was dished out, that to Beltroco of j AManson, one to Migneault fori Mongeau scored the insurance i goal for Ahuntsic at connecting at 1:10 on a neat play with Basil Wheeler to beat goalie Jean Pierre Camir-and in the Three Rivers nets.Doyle got his second shortly after at 1:40 unassisted as he sailed in to grab a loose
