pastor, Rev.James Sutherland, which took place Sabbath morning, the 16th, inst.Mr.Sutherland was ill with pneumonia for five weeks, and tor some time hopes were entertained of his recovery, but although every thing was done that loving hands could do he gradually grew worse. For about two weeks he seemed to be much the same and although very weak for a long time the end came quite suddenly.Although Mr.Sutherland had been with us a short time, only about 2h years, the members of his congregations were very much attached to him, and he had made a host of other friends. His work in the church was very successful, many becoming mem bers under his pastorate.A funeral service was held in the Presbyterian church here on Monday afternoon, the 15th inst. There were five ministers present. The sermon was preached by Rev.Dr.Kellock of Richmond, in which he spoke of Mr.Sutherland “being no hireling but a winner of souls.’ All that could be accomodated came into the church buta uum ber had to remain outside. On Monday morning at eight o’clock after a chapter being read a prayer being offered by Dr.Kel lock, the funeral procession started for Richmond station, and from there by train to Inverness, his former charge. His widow, two sons and a daughter, also elders from both congregations and some others, accompanied the remains to Inverness.A service was held in the Pres strength of mind. Not that it goes directly to the brain, that were foolish. The true brain food must be carried by rich, red blood. If mental fatigue worries and alarms you, look not to the brain, but the stomach and assimilative organs. No remedy yet discovered, possesses the marvellous brain strengthening power that Ferrozone has demonstrated in thousands of cases.Ferrozone does not stimulate the brain into a fitful glow, but by improving digestion, strengthening the ner vous system, stimulating assimila tion, giving new strength to the heart, it sends a stream of red vitalizing blood to the brain. Thus it is a true brain food Ferrozone is sold by all reliable druggists.Of the slugs, or lung-breathin snails with too small or internal shells or none at all, about 1,000 species and 500 varirties have been described. Most of these have been brought together by Walter E Oollinge, an English collector, who shows specimens ranging in size from that of a grain of wheat to a length of several inches, and in Coloring from dull, repulsive tints to the gorgeous hues of the butterfly, Aliasings lay eggs, the numbeis varying from ten to a hundred or more, and the sizes f om that of a pin-point to that of a sparrow’s egg, A beautiful and very rare South African species is a veritable tiger among its kind, preying savagely on otherlslugs and on instets, and several other species are
