Whereas a petition signed by the majority of the proprietors of immoveable property comprised within that certain territory situated in the municipality of the united townships of De Sala-berry and Grandison, has been presented to Us, making application to erect this territory into a village municipality; Whereas it hath been shewn to Us that this territory contains at least forty inhabited houses within a space not exceeding sixty superficial arpents.Whereas it lias also been shewn to Us that the original plan made according to the requirements of law, and showing the territory sought to be erected into a village municipality, as well as all other cadastral subdivisions, in the manner deteimined by the provisions of the Civil Code having reference thereto, has been approved by Our Minister of Lands and Forests;
